PK Housing & Management currently manages a varied portfolio of both affordable and conventional multifamily housing comprising approximately 130 developments and over 4,000 units in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, California, Missouri, and Alabama. Of the developments that we manage, over 100 are owned by PK and less than 10 are third-party management. We have extensive experience working with USDA Rural Development, HUD, TDHCA and MSHDA, and we maintain a strong working relationship with each of these agencies. Most of the developments we manage utilize the low-income housing tax credit, and PK personnel are constantly trained with the latest changes in the program.
PK takes pride in our property management as it has always been at the core of our business. As a smaller, family-owned company that manages our own properties, as well as fee-manages properties for other owners, PK operates all properties as if they were our own. Our regional managers have smaller portfolios, allowing us to provide greater oversight and attention in the field. We prioritize curb appeal, resident engagement, community outreach, routine maintenance and other components of long-term asset management over annual profit margins. We routinely visit sites and appraise these visits with staff. We believe our personal, hands-on involvement and ownership mindset that sets PK Housing apart from other management companies. Our utmost concerns are the long-term success of our properties, staff members, and the communities in which we live and work.
